Asadi (Asian school of architecture, design + innovation) request a guest lecture
Earlier this year, House of Origin were very privileged to be asked to speak to the students of the Asian School of Architecture and Design Innovations (ASADI) in Cochin, Kerala, India. The school has recently moved into new premises and is only in it's third year, but they already have an incredible campus, surrounded by the natural beauty of Kerala's back-waters and general lush environment.
We were invited to discuss how the House of Origin philosophy fits into the contemporary Australian architectural landscape. The school has a very strong focus on responsible, green architecture and their faculty building had previously been used as a film-set for some Bollywood movies, so where better to talk about design, adaptive-reuse and repurposing!
Thanks to all of the staff and students who made us feel so welcome and yes, we'd love to come again! And thanks to Rohan Abraham of "Explore India" for making introductions and providing such tantalising eco-tours. Next year!
