"I love my new board!" It is prefect for every snack or meal. I chop, prepare & eat off it all in one. This is definitely the perfect way to start my day with my favourite brekky of avocado, tomato & fresh basil bites. My little board is of Australian origin, made from reclaimed timber once part of an Australian family home, but amazingly it allows me to reconnect with my Austrian roots in the way of traditional Austrian snacking, the so called "Brettl Jause" (chopping board snack). This is wonderful! My "Brettl Jause" the Australian way! |

I love my House of Origin board not only because it's useful, but also as a beautiful piece of art in the kitchen. It gives an earthy vibe to a normally plain room with the rich colours of the crosshatched wood work reminding me of a redwood forest. I actually only use it for special occasions since this is the type of board you want to have for years, the kind of piece that friends and family are always trying to steal! |

We use the board (given to us by House of Origin director, Zander) as a resting place on our everyday dining table for an Iittala candle holder, some coasters from the Tate and bits and pieces from time to time. As well as being a resting spot for serving bowls etc. Less conventional I know! But I just love looking at the timber and not ‘hiding’ it in the kitchen. |

This is a special board because it lives in the house from whence it originated. These timbers are all sourced from Gina and John's home which we renovated and in the process we salvaged these timber and made this beautiful board for our clients to use s a cheese platter. We were delighted to gift this piece of our clients home back to them! |

This board was a wedding gift to an old friend who just happened to get married before our office could even photograph our first range of stock. In fact, we didn't even have a chance to oil the board before gifting it, a pleasure we thought the new owners might enjoy themselves. Talk about hot off the press! |

Can't quite recall who bought this exact board at last years Etsy christmas pop-up store in the CBD David Jones store, but we were delighted to see it cropping up on Instagram!
Seems a couple of happy customers enjoy a bit of smashed avo on toast! "Everything looks good on the new House of Origin chopping board. #yum #avocado #breakfast #lemon #houseoforigin |
