For this range, we were interested in providing 2 different thicknesses, 15mm and 30mm, for those wanting a heftier chopping or presentation surface.  And we have delivered!

House of Origin were a tad late in hearing about this design competition, but we quickly put together this entry because we wanted to test the waters for a new product thats been on the drawing board for a while.

This magnetic knife-block uses the iconic "shadow-board" graphic to bring the tool-shed into the kitchen, arguably the modern arena for experimentation.  

Like all of our products, this would be made using timbers sourced from one of our projects and would be branded with the house's postcode, marking the material's derivation, it's House of Origin.

We may not have won this competition, but that doesn't mean we won't put this into production.  ​Let us know what you think.  

House of Origin's director has been busy making some elegant collages in his spare time.
These elegant cards are for sale as either a set of 5 x A5 cards with envelopes or in bags or small, folded tags.

The collages are made with the same intention as our range of homewares, whereby the materials speak for themselves and their pleasure comes from their simple composition.  They are not digitally manipulated in any way; The collage made is the collage printed.

These collage cards are a really lovely and vibrant way to add some dynamic texture to you next set of gifts or Christmas cards. 

We personally love combining them with plain brown, silver or black wrapping paper paper to make a complimentary set of gifts under the Christmas tree.  At least thats what I hope my family thinks! 

PLEASE NOTE:
The original collages are not currently available for sale, though please get in touch if you are interested in purchasing one and we can discuss further.  We currently like having them on our office walls :)
They are all around A4 size.

House of Origin are pleased to present the first photos of our newest project, already under construction.  Baker Developments have already removed the rear of the property, which will soon be replaced with an expanded kitchen/living/dining space replete with north-facing highlight windows, opening onto a new timber deck.

A few weeks ago, as you'll see from earlier posts or our design blog, we were very pleased to be invited to participate in an Etsy Pop-Up shop at our local West Elm store.

We met so many people who were as enthusiastic as we are about our products and since we just received their official photos and thought we'd post some of them up here.
