Shop fit-out # 02 - D'Tanglz Hair bar
This hairdressing salon in the Mirvac shopping complex at Stanhope Village, located in Sydney's west, was due for a re-fit to accommodate the consolidation of 2 stores into one, while maximising cutting and waiting areas while making the circulation space more efficient.
The client's brief called for 2 additional cutting stations along the side walls as well as a revised layout to allow for a new central waiting table. This table needed to double as both a new client and mid-session client waiting area, replete with power for hairdryers and other electrical appliances.
The centre's re-fit guidelines also called for greater brand clarity throughout the store. This was achieved through the collaborative selection of a very clear palette of colours and materials, repeated from the shop-front through to rear of the salon.
This project gives a new lease of life to a small salon, making more effective use of the available space and adding vibrancy with great fixtures and finishes.
House of Origin selected a range of colours and materials for the space, redesigned the store to allow for additional seating, designed custom joinery items for the newly located point of sales counter, the central table, the entry display counter and the utilitarian shelves and storage area for the cutting trollies to the rear of the shop.
